Glitch
Live streaming app that comes with Oxide Phone — channels, chat, follows, subscriptions and cheers, going live with the phone's camera, and a simulated audience that pays the streamer like a job.
oxide-glitch is Glitch, a live streaming app for Oxide Phone. It comes with Oxide Phone, as its own download in your Cfx Portal assets, and needs oxide-phone to run: it runs as its own resource and appears inside the phone as a hosted app. Players watch channels live, chat, follow, subscribe and cheer bits, or go live themselves with the phone's camera.
Streaming works like a job: every stream has a simulated audience and chat that react to what the streamer does in the city, and that audience pays into a balance the streamer cashes out to the bank. Real players watching count for far more than simulated ones.
Glitch uses the phone's app services: accounts, live streams, photos, links, notifications and evidence. The live video goes through the phone's live streams; avatars and banners are kept in the photo storage you set up for the phone. With no phone installed it registers nothing and stays idle.
Channels are listed in seven categories and earn one of three tiers, each paying more. Glitch runs on QBCore, QBX and ESX through o-link.
Key Features
- Browse — Live channels, most watched first, in seven categories (Just Chatting, Driving, Crime, Racing, Music, Events, IRL), a Following tab with live channels first, and search
- Channels — Avatar, banner, bio, followers, tier and Partner check mark, live or offline with the last stream's figures, Follow and Subscribe
- Watching — The live picture from the phone, with the chat below: real and simulated messages in one, emotes, badges (broadcaster, moderator, subscriber, Partner), slow mode and followers-only mode, and on-screen alerts for follows, subs and cheers
- Support — Follow, subscribe (a monthly price, paid from the bank) and cheer bits, with the money moved through
o-link. The streamer gets the money less a platform cut that falls as their tier rises - Going Live — A title and a category, the front or back camera, the microphone. The streamer dashboard over the camera shows real and simulated viewers, what the stream has earned, follows, subs, bits, a hype meter, why viewers might be leaving, alerts, and chat with moderator tools (delete, timeout, ban, moderators)
- The Job — A simulated audience driven by what the server sees of the stream: viewers come for action (speed, company, new places, danger, talking) and leave idle or repetitive streams. Ads, simulated subs and simulated cheers pay into a pending balance that the streamer cashes out to the bank. Caps per hour and per day, a minimum stream length and no pay while AFK keep it fair
- Tiers — Streamer, Affiliate and Partner, earned with followers, average viewers and streams, each paying more. Follows are counted once per character. Admins can grant or remove Partner
- Notifications — Phone notifications for lives, subs and cheers, delivered only to the phone logged in to the account
- Moderation — Reports on channels and chat messages, an admin queue in the app, bans that keep accounts out of chat and off streams and cover the character on every account, and the
/glitchcommand. Every admin action is written tooxide_glitch_admin_logand the server log - Evidence — Real chat, follows, subs, cheers, deleted messages and cash-outs are kept on the phones involved as evidence records for police Forensics; the phone records the streams themselves. A phone police hold opens Glitch read-only
