Hookr

Swipe-to-match dating app that comes with Oxide Phone — profiles with photos, a Discover deck, matches and chats, notifications, police evidence and moderation.

oxide-hookr is Hookr, a swipe-to-match dating app for Oxide Phone. It comes with Oxide Phone, as its own download in your Cfx Portal assets, and needs oxide-phone to run: it runs as its own resource and appears inside the phone as a hosted app. Players make a profile with photos from the phone, swipe through people in the city, match when the like is mutual and chat with their matches.

Hookr uses the phone's own app accounts, photos, camera, location, links and evidence, so it needs no setup of its own beyond starting it. Photos are kept in the photo storage you set up for the phone. With no phone installed it registers nothing and stays idle.

Profiles take up to 6 photos, 5 interests from a list of 24 and 3 prompts from a list of 8. Hookr runs on QBCore, QBX and ESX through o-link.

Key Features

  • Accounts — The phone's own accounts. A phone's SIM gets one the first time Hookr opens; players can set a password, log out, switch account or log in on another phone
  • Profile — Name, age (18+), up to 6 photos picked from the phone's Photos or taken with its Camera, a bio, interests and prompts, who they are (gender) and who they want to see, an age range and a distance. Players can pause their profile
  • Discover — A deck of cards to drag or tap through. Right likes, left passes, up Super Likes. Tap the sides of a photo to move through photos; tap the arrow for the full profile. Daily limits for likes, Super Likes and rewinds
  • Matches — A mutual like shows a match screen, then a chat with text and photos, read receipts and live updates. Players can unsend their messages, and unmatch, block and report are one tap away
  • Distances by Area — Distances by area only, never the exact spot, refreshed at most every five minutes
  • Notifications and Links — New matches, messages and Super Likes arrive as phone notifications, delivered only to the phone logged in to the account. They open the right chat, follow the phone's preview settings and clear once read. Profiles can be shared to Messages as hookr:// links
  • Evidence — Profile changes, swipes, matches, messages (unsent ones too), blocks and reports are kept on the phone as evidence records for police Forensics. A phone police hold opens Hookr read-only
  • Moderation — Staff review reports (with the reported chat), remove photos or profiles, and ban or unban accounts, from the app or the /hookr command. Every action is written to oxide_hookr_admin_log and the server log
